We have a little Champ!

Mason had a cardiology appointment on Tuesday and things couldn't have gone better!!!! I am sure that it was our best appointment to date! First we had a dietary appointment and he is growing perfectly! He weighs 14 lb 8 oz, woot woot! He is still pretty small for his age but his length is short for his age too so he is perfectly portioned and even has chubby cheecks and starting to get some fat on his legs! Then we had his cardiology appointment, he always does chest xray first and when they took the picture me and Zac both felt like it looked better than the previous ones. When we had his last appointment when he got taken off oxygen his oxygen saturations were averaging 79% but when the tech came in to do is vital Tuesday they were 92%!!!!! We couldn't have been happier! His EKG was good and the only thing that wasn't "GREAT" was his blood pressure, the first one they did was 160/102, YIKES!! But he fell asleep after Dr. Mack checked him over and it came down a whole ton (I can't quite remember what it was but it was much better) So his weight might start to make him grow out of his blood pressure medicine so if it goes up again they will just increase that. His chest xray was clear so NO MORE FLUID!!! :) His cardiologist was SO PLEASED with him that he feels we might be able to go 6 months before having another check up! He told me to call him in about 3 months and if we feel he is doing good then we will schedule another 3 months from then! We are so proud of our little champ! He is so perfectly imperfect! I can't believe he will be 9 months old next week! We are so thankful for everyone who has been such a support to us the last 9 months and for all of you who still check up on him! Also thanks to you all for understanding that he still can't (and will never be able to) be around sick people. He is doing so so good and we would HATE to do anything to comprimise that!
